Bex is a high energy entrepreneur and business leader born and bred in Ōtepoti Dunedin. Over the past 15 years, she has emerged as a dynamic force in the business startup community, design and marketing industry as well as broader education and community impact fields. She has set a benchmark for building great teams to harness creativity, innovation, and strategic excellence - delivering results for many local and national clients while supporting others to succeed alongside her.

In 2009, the Firebrand story began following a bold move to build a website design agency. She and the founding partners combined with her uncanny ability to identify solutions to business problems proving a success quickly.  Significant achievements in those first few years included digital transformations; Hail, GetHomeSafe, Digital Journey and eComPlus. eCommerce platforms for Acquisitions, Stirling Sports and the Trade Tools.  

Over the years, Firebrand has grown from a small venture to a well-established agency serving a broad client base across both Aotearoa NZ and Australia. The firm's portfolio showcases a wide variety of projects, ranging from corporate branding and digital marketing strategies to web design and social media campaigns. Bex's strong leadership and dedicated team have successfully positioned the company as a leader in the industry and a growing presence on the international stage.

 

In addition to Firebrand Bex is an enormous advocate for supporting others. She regularly conducts workshops and attends speaking engagements to inspire and mentor young people and women looking to identify their career pathway and/or break into the business world. In 2023, she was selected to be a member of the government advisory Regional Skills Leadership Group which is dedicated to ensuring a future for education and careers of young people. She is also a life member of Business South after 7 years as a director of the Otago Chamber of Commerce.
