A new, user-friendly website for Southern Way, providing a streamlined planning experience for tourists.
At Firebrand, we were thrilled to take on the challenge of developing a new website for the collective of Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) known as Southern Way, offering inspiration, itineraries and a map of touring options throughout Otago and Southland. The aim was to encourage tourists to go beyond regional and geographical boundaries, stay longer in the region, and return with friends and whānau.
Firebrand's solution was to develop a website where the overall tone focused on the route and activities along the way, as a whole, rather than a regional approach. The aim was for travellers to easily navigate the platform and access information effortlessly to assist them when planning a trip through the region.
Keeping these things in mind, our team worked to develop a complete set of wireframes and UX/UI prototypes, ensuring that the website's design would be both bespoke and user-friendly.
The new Southern Way website captures the essence of the Southern Way brand while providing a user-friendly experience for visitors. It boasts various features designed to inspire users and streamline their trip planning. In addition, the website's responsiveness ensures that users can access the content from anywhere, on any device, making it easier than ever before to plan a trip to the South. We're proud of the result, a modern and bespoke website that showcases the region's best features.
