Community Care Trust
Community Care Trust is a not-for-profit charitable trust supporting youth and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The Brief
Repositioning to a more client facing approach and steering clear of the "norm" of most referral organisations, Community Care Trust wanted Firebrand to create a brand and website with approachability, inclusion and care at its heart.
The Solution
To represent the five key groups in Community Care Trust's team, Firebrand used five corresponding colours in the brand refresh - pink, yellow, green, blue and purple.
Firebrand's solution for the website speaks openly to the concerns that people with intellectual disabilities have about living and participating as valued members of their communities. A people-focused, user-driven approach was taken to make access to key content as efficient as possible. Accessibility tools are integrated into the website, including natural language search, a dyslexia-friendly font and easy options for changing font size.
The Result
The new Community Care Trust website supports and promotes the organisation's strategic objectives of increasing awareness, promoting services, recruitment, process development and forming and maintaining partnerships. CCT is an organisation with the vision to connect communities that truly value and celebrate diversity. The brand application has extended far beyond the website and has been applied to Otago and Southland’s Community Care Trust offices with environmental graphics throughout the interior. Both locations have new external signage as well as numerous brand collateral applications from stationary to drink bottles.
"We found the approach of Firebrand to be inclusive, considerate and collaborative and the working group readily interacted with the Firebrand team. Firebrand also filmed a number of videos for our website of people sharing their stories. They showed patience and empathy and people reporting feeling at ease with their team. The end result has received great feedback."
