Business South

A new, user-friendly website for Business South that puts them back on the digital map. They approached Firebrand for assistance, and we were excited to dive right in.

 

 

The Brief

Under the new entity, combining the Otago Chamber of Commerce and Otago Southland Employers’ Association, Business South was ready to transform their digital footprint. Business South came to Firebrand to design and develop a modern, user-friendly website that effectively communicates the organisation’s values, services, and history while providing valuable resources and information for businesses in the region. The website needed to have a clean and professional look with easy navigation. Responsive design optimised for both desktop and mobile devices understanding a majority of the audience are on the go business professionals. The highly flexible and considered content management system was necessary to allow the internal Business South team access to update and maintain their content easily.

The Solution

After an initial workshop attended by stakeholders of Business South and facilitated by Firebrand, we extracted keywords, messages and objectives to form the foundations of the new website - and, importantly, understand Business South's vision for the future. From there, a full set of wireframes and UX/UI prototypes were developed in response to the brief.

The website's design was modern, innovative, and considered to meet all of the client's needs. The website was optimised for mobile devices, making it easy for users to access and navigate from any device. The development of this site included a pulse check to allow members to feed into the conversation directly, live and up-to-date events and training schedules, membership information, and member stories.

In addition to the website, Firebrand created an animated video that outlined Business South's new strategic framework that would be housed on the new site.

The Result

The new website that Firebrand provided to Business South was a great success. The user-friendly and accessible layout made it easy for visitors to navigate and find the information they were looking for, whilst the device optimisation helps to increase traffic and engagement.

Overall, the new website solution Firebrand provided helped Business South achieve its goals, reach its target audience, communicate its strategic framework and enhance its position as a leading business resource in the Otago region.
