At the start of the month, our Firebrand family grew by two. Coinciding with the office update we welcome Katy and Rachel on board, bringing our family to 15. 

Both Mission Specialists, Katy and Rachel bring different skills to the team. 

Before Katy started her Firebrand journey she was a freelance Digital Marketer providing a full spectrum of both traditional and digital marketing strategies with the odd design job for good measure! She has also worked as a Product Marketer covering off B2B and B2C comms through print and digital outlets - everything from catalogue design to writing international Go to Market plans for new product launches. This also included copywriting that was used for sales agent training as well as retailer training. 

Before marketing Katy was Head of Sales for a wholesale/distribution company that represented over 15 international brands. Katy has her fair share of marketing and design stories that we hope will be shared with the whole team! 

Prior to graduating Rachel was a member of our Youth Employment Success (YES) programme and spent time as an intern here at Firebrand. Now equipped with a Bachelor of Design with Honours from Massey University, Rachel spent two years working for a Dunedin based architecture firm as their head graphic designer and marketing manager before returning to the Firebrand family. 

Rachel understands the importance of building empathy and translates that into strong, future-proofed designs that meet our client's needs. Rachel delivers clean and well-considered design across both Print and Digital platforms. Originally from Scotland, but now officially a Kiwi citizen you can identify Rachel from her hybrid 'Skiwi' (Scottish Kiwi) accent!
