But before she made her mark as our Youth Employment Success Project Manager, Emma was a fresh-faced second-year marketing student taking her first steps into a marketing internship with the Firebrand whānau. We had an inkling that Emma would become an integral part of the team back then and 5years later ? we can confirm that that inkling was correct.
From intern to marketing specialist and YES co-ordinator to YES project lead, Emma went from strength to strength, ?? as a part of our ever-evolving team, in an industry where change is the norm it's not always an easy thing to master the constantly shifting sands ? let alone the pace of agency life but Emma did it with ease.
When I think of Emma as a colleague the words that come to mind are Organised, Punctual, Reliable, Supportive & Trustworthy, never afraid to step in and support other members of the team to meet a tight deadline or share her SEO knowledge she would often be the first to break the ice and invite a nervous new intern for coffee.
Amongst her many achievements at Firebrand Emma launched the YES platform into Waitaki/Waimate, Whanganui Rangitikei, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough and the West Coast.
I had the pleasure of playing a supporting role for Emma and the YES team at careers events & workshops for many of our AWESOME local high schools and tertiary providers as well as the launch of YES into the Whanganui Rangitikei region, it was an absolute blast!! We were quite the team ? if I do say so myself.
I am excited ?? to work with the Youth Employment Success team as we head into 2022 to build upon the solid foundation that you have left for us. I hope you are proud of everything you have achieved, Team Firebrand certainly is and we are excited to follow your career, we have a feeling you are going to do great things.
