Historically, the Dunedin Casino brand was about opulence and grandeur of yesteryear, combined with first-class gaming. But for today’s domestic and international customers, that is not enough. The key focus of this rebranding exercise was to create a brand experience at the casino that would make locals want to visit, and for them to be known as an entertainment centre of the city.
Firebrand workshopped and developed a number of brand directions and brand options, before landing at a classic new brand direction that captures both the iconic legacy and bright future of the new Grand Casino. The fresh brand strategy invites the world to look at today’s Grand Casino through a contemporary lens.
The new brand has also been implemented on their redesigned website, a fresh photoshoot with Clive Copeman Photography, on their new social channels and on the stunning exterior signage designed by our team and expertly applied by Tony and the team at Derek Lester Building. The entire redesign project was managed and implemented by the Firebrand team, and is something we can all be proud to have been a part of.
The Grand Casino officially launched their new branding on the 17th of April 2021 with a private event for their board and VIP members. Following this event, they held a BA5 event welcoming the local business community into their newly renovated Grand Restaurant and Bar, designed by Interior Designer, Annie Simpson-King.
The next focus for the Casino is to continue to engage the community and invite the public to experience the new space, dining options and unique events, as well as engaging with their local and online community.
Grand Casino continues to grow its customer base whilst living by their new vision: To deliver grand entertainment experiences, every time.
