There has been some media coverage lately in the cloud computing world regarding a new security vulnerability called Foreshadow (or L1TF to the development community) which is affecting Intel processors - the driving force of many cloud computing platforms. The security hole was publicly reported a few days ago after the hole was patched up.

If exploited, Foreshadow allows a malicious user to jump between isolated environments in the cloud. The good news is that there is no evidence anyone has used this hole to breach cloud computing platforms.

This is just a quick note to let you know that Firebrand systems are up to date with the latest security updates (software patches) which address the vulnerabilities and minimise any possible risk. Any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch: hello@firebrand.nz
