Ronald McDonald House charity supports families when their child is in a hospital away from home. In 2018, RMHC provided over 4,300 families with accommodation and support free of charge to help relieve some of the everyday stresses they face. With an epic $172,000 and counting raised for Ronald McDonald House Charity on the night we are proud to be apart of this New Zealand Record. Our team was highly involved in the silent auction, bringing home a wide range of prizes from wine, to jars full of lollies to trips away to Queenstown.

This year - Firebrand was lucky enough to support the Charity in the form of creating 13 videos to be played before the auction items were auctioned off. Adding to the layer of storytelling of these items, had the audience visualise the prizes. Voiced by the one and only Grant McLean meant cutting through the chatter to explain what was being auctioned.

It was then time for our dinner location to be drawn out of a hat. One of the last tables to be picked, our dinner location was set for Fisher and Paykel’s Social Kitchen, not knowing what this meant made it all the more surprise when we were greeted with a glass of champagne and Noble Reisling Sherbert set the tone for the night. Treated to a 5-course meal and wine matching we couldn’t have had a better dining experience.

A massive shout out to the team at Fisher and Paykel for providing such an incredible experience that not one of our team will experience again. Read more about Fisher and Paykel’s Social Kitchen and their mission here.

Also a massive shout out and Thank You to Eterei and Justin Stonelake for putting on yet another amazing supper club - we appreciate the work you do for your community more than you will ever know!
