Work
Our Chief Commander Bex’s many passions are people, technology and social good. The sweet spot is the bringing together of those things to achieve lasting business, social and community impact and success.
A super starter - Bex has been a key founder or driving force behind quite the collection of initiatives, businesses and product developments and digital transformations, the list includes Hail, Youth Employment Success, The Dunedin Store, GetHomeSafe and eComPlus.
A fiercely passionate supporter of those in need, Bex is very proud of the contribution Firebrand makes by giving back to the Aotearoa community and wishes to inspire others to do the same.
Active in governance roles including serving as the Vice President of the Otago Chamber of Commerce for over 6 years and now a Director of Business South, where she assists in shaping the strategic direction of our region to ensure sustainability and relevance. She is a supportive business mentor and is a key coach in early-stage discovery sessions, coaching our clients through strategy, business and product development and alongside Startup Dunedin, Audacious and the Startup Incubator.

Guitarist, writer of sad songs and a reformed lead singer of old school rock bands, Bex is quick to reach for the karaoke microphone, provided Paul doesn't get there first! Her love for music is shared by the rest of the Twemlow family and they could often be spotted at concerts around New Zealand and especially at our very own Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Locally, pounding the pavement out on her frequent “rawks” focussed on the next local 10km event while listening to audiobooks and podcasts about crime and politics or if possible time at the family crib in Otematata is where the combo of relaxation and water-based sports (as long as it's warm enough) occurs.
