Telling the story of an engineering heavyweight, we created brand positioning, marketing and web design for Farra that boldly punched above their weight. A slick, beautiful, global presence; these Dunedin based innovators are worthy of praise as they reach beyond New Zealand.

the brief

Farra is an integrated, full-service engineering company that traces its Dunedin history way back to 1863. With expertise spanning heavy machining, fabrication, sheet metal, stainless and industrial engineering design. Previously focused very much on the doing (like most Dunedin and/or engineering companies) there is a need to showcase capabilities to achieve growth in the right areas. Cue team Firebrand! We were engaged to guide the company through the process and build a digital platform to celebrate success. Nailed!

Our process kicked off with brand positioning strategy for Farra to reflect not only the incredible work they do but also their passion and expertise. Highlighting design-led solutions, customer-focused approach, and the bold innovations and pushing of boundaries. We designed a fantastic new website to take Farra's vision online with high-resolution imagery and a strong, confident style. Combining a simple navigational structure to guide users through to the companies stunning and detailed case studies that showcase Farra's wide-ranging capabilities. Our full-service offering means we deliver everything from the brand positioning direction and design through to videography, photography, content writing and marketing - and ongoing.

Newly launched, Farra's digital presence has lifted the teams desire to showcase even more of what they do. Through the integration of Hail, the team is already keeping content fresh with their stories. The site has seen an improved bounce rate with people staying on the site engaged. AdWords have had high click through and resulted in a huge number of calls and drop-ins for Farra's new powder coating plant. 

Firebrand partnered with Farra effortlessly and heard and understood our requirements. Our main goal was to communicate our scale & break the market perception of operational business silos. The website was redesigned from scratch with the process being uncomplicated, painless, and delivered on time. Both Farra and Firebrand are jointly proud of the outcome.
