Merry Christmas From Firebrand

A Year in Review

Kate Boreham

An enormous year is almost done and with the end in sight a reflection on what we've been up to confirms one thing - this industry is a tremendous place to be and it is one hell of a joy to be a part of it!

It's been an eventful year and Christmas presents a great opportunity to look back at what's been achieved. We decided it was time to take stock of the launches and work completed in 2015 - turned out this was no small job!

eCommerce

We have also continued our focus on eCommerce with a stream of beautiful, result driven, customer focussed stores. As eCommerce specialists these projects are frequently coupled with our support services including SEO, Digital Marketing and monthly Analytics analysis to increase visitor numbers and drive sales. Successful launches (and relaunches) for 2015 have included:

The Haircare Market
The Design Store
Hammerhead Foods
Design Withdrawals

We continue to work with amazing brands to improve upon their eCom strategies and have some exciting developments underway for launch in 2016 including for Trade Tools, MyTools, Stirling Sports and Industrial Tooling.

Custom Development

BIG Projects need BIG thinkers and we have further cemented our place in the custom dev circles with significant WebApp projects this year including:

Get Home Safe Corporate - A Corporate GHS subscription provides teams with is a convenient way for staff to share what they are doing, a beautiful platform for supervisors to reference in real time what is happening, a fail-safe system to alert supervisors if something is not OK, ownership of a whole lot of useful data and so much more.

Digital Journey White Label - Now fully customisable to corporates, organisations and groups to "brand" Digital Journey Assessment tools to their own look and feel!

eComPlus - Taking eCommerce one step further to facilitate International Drop Shipping, Location based fulfilment and focussed revenue building strategies.

Imagine Photographics - Custom Print ordering facility for agencies and designers to facilitate easy order and fulfilment.

Marketing Strategy / Tactics

One of the persistent myths around websites is 'build it and they will come'. The key to a really successful online presence lies in the activity you build around it, including planning and implementing marketing to ensure you are driving traffic to that beautiful website. Whatever your objectives we can build strategies, devise campaigns and support the implementation of marketing tactics that will drive results. Some of the clients we have completed marketing projects for this year include:

BASE Youth Action Strategy
Fluid Recruitment
Stirling Sports
Trade Tools
MyTools
FoodShare
Wall Street Mall
Otago Regional Council
Ministry of Social Development
Otago District Healthboard
Bin Inn

Branding

Brands are a Firebrand speciality. Our Creative Director Katy has the secret sauce when it comes to developing brands that hit the mark every time. Totally attuned to the vision of the business and designed to speak to the hearts and minds of the target audience each is unique and a perfect fit. This year brands have been developed for the likes of:

The Foundation (Dunedin Venues)
Sub24
Complex Theory
A1 Electrical
NJL Builders
The Petri Dish
Heart of Dunedin
Logan Park High School
Otago Boys High School
Devine Wine Tours

Pro Bono - Community Projects

No year would be complete for Firebrand without a significant range of community projects and delivery of pro-bono services. 2015 has seen us delivery our most significant community support project yet for FoodShare as their Creative Partner, though there have been many others we've pledged (and delivered) our services to:

Sexy Summer Jobs
Sinclair Wetlands
BellyFul
Youth Fund Dunedin
Anglican Family Care
Otago Chamber of Commerce

So in conclusion it's been a year full of fantastic projects for fantastic people. We are so grateful to get to work with so many amazing clients and do the things we are passionate about. Thank you to each and everyone of you that's worked with us, supported us, read our newsletters, followed us on social media and been part of our Firebrand family. Merry Christmas and bring on 2016!
