Audacious Challenge

Paul Twemlow

Ideas, collaboration, workshops and business coaching combined with all the buzz of a Startup Weekend that is how we would describe Audacious. Culminating in an Awards Event held at the Otago Polytechnic Hub recently.

Firebrand has been a mix of sponsor, supporter, mentor, presenter, judge and prize provider for Audacious for the past 4 years, this year we were a sponsor, speaker and prize provider - and what a year it was!

We love the startup space; the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit it brings to our pretty city is immeasurable.  The Audacious awards night did not disappoint in keeping with past award nights and the recipients had some fantastic business solutions to disrupt the status quo as well as create new opportunities.

Specifics provided from the co-manager of this year's Audacious programme; Thomas Weidlings...

"The grand winner of the Audacious Challenge Awards 2017 was given to Harvey Penfold and Tahu MacKenzie for Peka Peka Bird Feeding Platform.
