Five NEW Summer Interns at Firebrand!

Five lucky students have been given a super opportunity this summer, but who are they?

Max Walker: (Client Services Intern)- I am from Dunedin, finishing my 2nd year studying a Bachelor of Arts in communication and marketing at Otago University. I went to school at John McGlashan College and, since leaving, have been involved with coaching rugby.

Sophie Williamson: (Front-End Web Intern) - I grew Balclutha, Otago and moved to Dunedin to complete my communication design course at Otago Polytechnic. Outside the office, I enjoy winding down to some Netflix with my animals and attempting to impress my friends with cooking or baking.

Nicholas Brien: (Communication Design Intern) - Growing up in a small town called Fairlie, I moved to Dunedin to chase my passion for design and began studying communication design at Otago Polytechnic. In my free time, I enjoy working on my cars, going to the gym and being creative.

Emma Buchan: (Design and Marketing Intern) - I grew up in Roxburgh, Central Otago and moved to Dunedin to pursue my dream of being a graphic designer. I recently completed my degree in Communication Design at Otago Polytechnic. My interests include all things creative, and out of the office, I enjoy the occasional modelling, weekend trips away and finding new recipes to cook!

Mitchell Scott: (Development Intern) - I am from Dunedin and have just finished my Bachelor of Information Technology course at Otago Polytechnic. My interests are mostly tech-related, like programming, but I also enjoy playing bowls every week. when I have free time I usually find myself playing games or watching movies.

We were fortunate to get these opportunities through the JobDun internship programme. The programme allows students to gain valuable work experience with innovative Dunedin businesses to gain experience in a real-world environment.

Together we bring unique skills and attributes that bring something new to Firebrand. We all are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to the learning and challenges presented to us.
